Potvin tournament (19U)
The CT Crush won the Christopher Potvin Memorial tournament for the fourth straight year, beating the Ct Blue Jays 10-0 in the title game. Doug Delacruz of the Crush was the MVP, going 7-for-14 with three doubles, two triples and four RBI in four games. In the final, Buddy Dewaine singled, doubled and drove in three runs, Delacruz doubled, tripled and drove in two runs and Isiah Mack had a three-run triple for the Crush. Andy Grant was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits in four innings with seven strikeouts.
On Saturday, the Crush beat the CT Blue Jays 3-2 and the CT Clippers 3-1. Delacruz had a single, two doubles and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 13th inning aganst the Blue Jays. Jordan Warecke started and allowed three hits over seven innings with six strikeouts. Anthony Viteritto singled and doubled. Against the Clippers, Nick Traystman had two hits and stole three bases, Dylan Horn had an RBI double and Mack had three hits.
