Grafton Angevine pitched six strong innings for the win as the CT Hurricanes beat the CT Blue Jays 11-0 in the title game. Angevine allowed two hits with 14 strikeouts. Brandon Drake had three hits, Jake Plikus singled and doubled and Bowen Baker had two hits for the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes advanced to the final with a 3-1 win over the CT Nationals. Baker had two hits and two RBI and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the sixth. Pat Bora went six innings for the win, allowing two hits with five strikeouts, and Ryan Dubord pitched the seventh to earn a save. Jared Burrows started for the Nationals and didn’t figure in the decision despite allowing one run on three hits over five innings with 10 strikeouts.
The CT Nationals beat the CT Blue Jays 5-1 as Dan Allard pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts. Noah Violette’s two-run double in the top of the seventh broke a 1-1 tie. Jared Burrows singled, doubled, scored and drove in two runs and Steve Cantres drove in a run for the Nationals.
